The reason to stop …
The reason to stop him on the stairs is to keep him on your level so CZ hits. Each hit will push him back so you’ll be out of range of the swords. After this he will go to the middle and use his shockwave. This is your chance for a massive counter. As he throws it jump over it and slash. Again for the second time. If you haven’t killed him he will use lasers or summon some monsters, which he always does when low on life.

This fight can be …
This fight can be ended in the first round if you play your cards right. He’s a because he just keeps floating away but, position yourself so his back is to one of those 4 parts at each side, and slowly move toward him. Stop when he’s on the stairs and wait until he is about to summon swords. He won’t move so lock-on and you can then start using repeat Ground Zeros.

Ok, I’ve just …
Ok, I’ve just kicked his and not too literally.
2nd try, and I must admit: “Despise, I love you!!!”
When Delacroix was about to launch that shockwave attack, I was underhim and jsut trying to avoid that attack, I used Despise and took 95% of his hp bar… but I think I ed him off, because he started with that laser attack :$

i did that with Fighter’s Destiny… then again, that game only takes 5 seconds to give someone a headache XD
