There would be a temporary panic, starting BEFORE the announcement and for 2 to 5 weeks. After that the economy will "muddle through" and ALL lawyers (and their lawyering children) will have life-time employment.
Also: a) windows in N.Y. high rise office buildings will be guarded to prevent "falling bodies" from injuring people below. b) a higher suicide rate. c) I and many others will rush out to load our Chase credit cards with purchases. d)… e)…f)… —z)..take your pick
