Last year my company did away with all overtime. Since then I have been using my savings to pay my credit cards and such and now that it is depleted I am starting to fall behind. How soon should I seek the advice of a lawyer for bankrupcy. I don't see my company reinstating any type of overtime.
If you think you may need to file bankruptcy, make an appointment with a bankruptcy attorney (most offer one free or very low cost appointment for this purpose) to sit down and discuss your financial situation and your options.
Most bankruptcy attorneys lament the fact that people who need to file bankruptcy typically wait far too long before they finally make an appointment with a bankruptcy attorney, often causing more long term damage to their financial health (and sometimes even their physical health) which could have been avoided had they sought professional legal advice sooner.
